Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Faces by Lucy Mae, a sole trader makeup business trading as "Faces by Lucy Mae". By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

2. Our services

We provide bridal and occasion makeup services from our private studio in Kings Langley, or as mobile appointments across Hertfordshire. Spray tanning is offered separately under our sister brand, Spray Tans by Lucy Mae (https://spraytansbylucymae.co.uk), and is subject to that brand's own terms.

3. Bookings

Bookings can be made via our contact form, phone or WhatsApp. A booking is confirmed once we have acknowledged your requested date, time, and location.

4. Pricing

Current pricing is as follows: Bridal Makeup £120, Bridal Trial £100, Bridesmaids & Guests £75, Bridesmaid & Guest Trials £75, and Occasion Makeup £65. Prices are correct at the time of booking but may change. The price confirmed at booking is the price you'll pay.

5. Deposits

[Owner to confirm]. Please specify here whether a deposit is required to secure a booking, and if so, the amount and how it is collected.

6. Travel

Travel within 10 miles of Kings Langley is included in the price. Additional travel is charged at £0.50 per mile thereafter.

7. Cancellations & rescheduling

We understand plans change. [Owner to confirm]. Please specify your required notice period for cancellations or rescheduling, and whether any fee applies to late cancellations or no-shows. This is particularly important for bridal bookings, given the fixed nature of wedding dates.

8. Patch tests

We strongly recommend a patch test at least 24–48 hours before your appointment, particularly if you have sensitive skin or any known allergies. It is your responsibility to inform us of any known skin sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions that may affect your treatment before your appointment.

9. Liability

We take all reasonable care in applying makeup using professional products. However, we cannot be held liable for any allergic reaction or adverse skin reaction where a patch test was not carried out beforehand, or where relevant skin sensitivities or conditions were not disclosed to us in advance. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Your responsibilities

For your appointment, please arrive (or ensure a suitable, well-lit space is available for a mobile appointment) with clean, moisturised skin unless otherwise advised, and let us know in advance of any skin sensitivities, allergies, or products you'd like us to avoid.

11. Payment

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
